Maya doesn’t even know how she managed to go back to her condominium. She knew she hailed a taxi to go home but after that she lost track of everything. All she remembered was that she had slumped into bed and cried.
Three days after the incident Simon invited her to have dinner with him. He told her that he was taking her to a new restaurant called Vask. She had agreed even though she was already furious with him. She knew he still doesn’t know that she had already caught him with Edselyn. However when they arrived at the restaurant Maya realized that it was the same restaurant where he had taken Edz three days earlier and where she had caught him. Her temper flared but she manage to control it as they had their meal. However when the desert came, Maya could no longer hold the sham. He asked him point blank who Edselyn was. Simon realized that he had finally been caught. He immediately summoned the waiter and paid their bill. He then ushers her out of the restaurant and drove to their favorite park.
Once there, Simon confessed that he and Edselyn had never broken up and that he only courted Maya as part of a dare. He also told her that he never expected that she would choose him over Richard. Maya was shock. She couldn’t believe that she had lost Richard because of a dare. How could she been so foolish? She slaps Simon on the face and leaves the park.
She felt so cheap. She was so humiliated and at the same time angry at herself. She had lost Richard because of her stupidity. Why did she allow herself to be blinded by Simon’s flowery words? Why did she believe him? She was already engage to be married wasn’t she. She knew it was her fault but it was too late now. She couldn’t stop her tears from escaping from her eyes. But who can she blame. She knew she could blame no one but herself. She didn’t know how she was able to reached her condominium unit but the next thing she knew she was calling her sister Christina Rose.
She was already starting to break down when her sister answered her cell phone. As usual her sister started to heckle her but when she did not respond to her usual greeting she turned serious and asked her what’s wrong. She was about to answer her sister when another sob escaped from her. Kute noticed that her sister had been crying and she immediately got worried. She tells her to stay put as she is coming over. Kute arrives at her sister’s condominium and saw that her sister was indeed crying. Her eyes were swollen, her face was puffy, her nose is stuff and her voice is rugged.
She immediately gives her a hug. Maya hugs her sister back before releasing it. After they hug Kute tried to calm Maya before going to the kitchen to get her sister a glass of water. After Maya drank the glass she manage to calm down and tell Kute about Simon’s deception and their eventual breakup. She also told her sister how stupid she was for choosing Simon over Richard.
Kute understood her sister’s dilemma and wanted to help her but she knew only she and Richard could sort out this problems. She advises her sister to contact Richard and to really talk to him. However Maya was ashamed to face her former fiance’s wrath and decided to just write a letter to him.
Dear Richard (Mahal na Hari),
First of all, I want to apologize for what I have done. I know now that I have hurt you so much and I am truly sorry. Richard, I love you… I know you won’t believe me and I expect that. I know that I made a mistake in leaving and choosing Simon over you but I was blinded by his promises. I know I have no right anymore but I am just requesting for your forgiveness.
I am returning the ring to you in the hope that someday you might find a more suitable mate for you. Just remember that I would always be here for you no matter what. Be brave Mahal na Hari and take care

Having written those words, Maya seals the envelope and asked Bugoy to deliver it to L.A.S. personally. Kute saw her sister dab a tear from her eyes but she pretends not to see it as she knew her sister would be embarrassed. She had asked Bugoy to deliver the message for her but after she left Kute pulls Bugoy aside and asked for Maya’s letter. Their errand boy was surprise but hands over the letter to Kute.
